Karl Lagerfeld Interviews....Himself

Thanks to Net-a-Porter we get a double dose of Karl Lagerfeld when he interviews himself for his launch of Karl by Karl Lagerfeld. Never doing too many taped interviews, Karl lets us in on some of his thoughts and feelings about life and fashion. With a little bit of humor and some knowledge dropping, Mr. Lagerfeld lets us peak into his mind for about nine minutes.

If you haven't seen it yet I suggest taking some time out to watch and enjoy.

Target Madness!

I haven't been this excited about shopping at target in a long time. Jason Wu has is teaming up with Target for a beautiful collection of dresses, skirts, shirts, blouses, shorts, scarves, clutches and bags. It looks like there are pieces for each season and some that can be worn year round with the right touches. There are a few must haves for me and I'm really nervous they will sell out quicker than I can click "Buy" on the website.

The floral print skirt with matching top is making me even more ready for spring to come. I am really feeling the white dress as well; too cute with the sunglasses. The white blouse with the black bow-tie would make a great addition to my closet as well as the lace skirt. I currently have a soft spot for stripes and anything pleated, so thats probably why I'm in so much trouble here. Just about all the dresses and skirts are pleated and there is a black and white stripped sweater which grabbed my attention right away.

The best part about the collection? Nothing is over $60! Cute and affordable makes it hard to pass up.

The collection releases tonight at midnight (2/5/12) and if you're as excited as I am and you plan on purchasing something, then good luck trying to score some pieces online or in stores. Comment and tell me what your favs are and if you actually get anything.

My "KAWS" of Inspiration

I have been missing from wearechampagnehigh for a while but I am back with a full ball of inspiration. where does this inspiration come from you say??? I just purchased one of my favorite graffiti artist/overall artist book and the the other day it arrived in the mail. I was so impatient waiting a couple days on the book but when I got it! "WOW" My mental sparks start to fly, do to the work since 1993 KAWS has created with his bare hands, ideas he's had and created (which is the most important part because Ideas are nothing with out the creation of it into the physical, you can have many great ideas but if they don't transform into the physical its useless thoughts) "but I digress" KAWS is a person who took great ideas and made them real from painting billboards and railcars to measuring vinyl stickers and placing them on top advertisements all over the world to having a line of clothing called Original Fake. Hard work and Determination mixed with a boatload of desire and dedication. This inspires me to keep pushing and working harder than anyone in my arena. When I sit still now I wonder more and more what I could be doing now to change not only me and progress but the world and in this book it shows KAWS changed the world in his own way even if it was only in the art world!!! Keep Pushing! Stay Focus! It will Happen!

Sufjan Stevens- I Walked

The latest album from Sufjan Stevens, Age of Adz, is out and there is another FREE track! "I Walked", is another song that shows the more technologic sounds he's used on this album. Its a really good song and his voice is still just as beautiful.

You can listen to the full album track by track on his Bandcamp. There are a few tracks that made me really fall for it. The whole thing is only $8 for download. Its definitely different from his other records, but its a great one.

Download it, listen, and enjoy!

Hello December

Well, December is officially here and along with her came the snow, freezing temps, chattering teeth, and Christmas music.
As I was driving to work today I had mixed feelings about the weather. I don't like the cold, but snow is so beautiful. To get myself in the holiday spirit I played my favorite Sigur Ros album, Takk...
It got me in the mood to sit by the fire and knit a scarf. For the past few years I have made this album my official Christmas/month of December fall asleep to music. Its so beautiful and soothing.

The pics above were just some I found to help put you all in the mood for winter. Hello December.

Lanvin for H&M - Fall Winter 2010/2011 Full Fashion Show (Exclusive)

H&M finally reviled the looks that will be sold when Lanvin for H&M hits stores on November 23rd. I like the unique way they decided to show the looks in this video....creepy, but pretty. I especially love the last dress shown (pink with floral print and ruffles), but all the black dresses are on my list as well.

In case your wondering the price points the line will range from $9.95 for tights to $349 for a coat. There are cheetah print shoes for $99, zebra print coats for $199, and lots of cute puffy shoulder dresses for your night out on the town.

If you have to ask....you can't afford it.
